Mistakes Buyers Make

Don’t get caught up in the following:
• Don’t wait for the perfect house, there isn’t one
• Compromise and prioritizing are necessary elements in home purchasing
• Don’t buy before you do some comparison shopping, especially if you’re new to the area
• Don’t write an unrealistic offer or you will simply be helping someone else’s offer look good (too low of a price, too many contingencies)
• Don’t be afraid to write an offer above or below the asking price…offer what it is worth to you
• Don’t work with more than one agent. Find one you like and stick with them
• Don’t wait for perfect conditions to buy
• The best time to buy us when you have found the right home
• Don’t get too many friends and family involved in your buying decision...you’ll go nuts!
• Don’t wait until you find the right home to talk to a mortgage specialist. Start upfront
• Don’t be surprised if you ger buyer’s remorse somewhere along the way, most buyers do…its normal, it will pass
• Don’t go out and buy a new car or new furniture once you’ve had your approval, it will change everything and could mean you can afford less house now
