Once Your Offer is Accepted

Now is when you do your due diligence for all of your conditions. That will mean the following:
• Sending in your initial deposit as per your contract
• Sending in your offer to your mortgage specialist so that they can confirm your financing
• Organizing a home inspection
• Depending on the type of home it might mean reading through condo docs or having the septic and well inspected.
• Renovating? It might mean having a contractor come in to give quotes or measure
Everything you need to do to be sure this home is safe and has everything you need will get done in your conditional period. Once you’ve satisfied those conditions, then its time to get ready to move.
• You’ll need an appt with your Lawyer
• Set up all of your utilities
• Get home insurance
• Set up a tax account with your municipality
• Arrange movers
